DOKUFEST’S NATIONAL COMPETITION
One of the most anticipated programs in DokuFest – The National Competition Program, in this edition will screen films from Albanian authors, students and young directors produced in different countries around the world.
Short or documentary, DokuFest has always given priority to films that have tackled topics of human rights, history, and above all – the truth!
Every film in the national program itself reflects the truth and we couldn’t be happier that every year new and courageous authors emerge on the scene to address issues that our society needs to give more attention.
Consisting of thirteen films, nine of which are world premieres, the National Program affirms the commitment and importance that DokuFest gives to domestic topics.
For the first time in collaboration with Radiator IP Sales, we will also award the “Film Distribution Award” where Radiator IP sales will take over the international distribution of the winner at the world’s most prestigious festivals.
To be a part of the competition for the reward, the film must be in national competition and have the world premiere at DokuFest.
In this program we highlight the special screening of the 90-minute documentary by directors Kreshnik Jonuzi, Luftar Von Rama, Charlie Askew whose film “Triumph” reflects the path of the Albanian National Football Team to the European Championship. This film is of great importance to the Albanian public, especially to football fans and the National Team fanbase, who will experience 90 minutes of unforgettable emotions during its screening.
In addition to this national program, seven other Albanian films will screen in other competing and special programs.
