DokuFest is now accepting submissions for its 24th edition of the festival.

DokuFest is delighted to announce that the submissions to the festival are open to short and feature-length documentaries, as well as to fiction, animation, and experimental short films.
Films can be submitted exclusively through the FilmFreeway online submission platform
The 24th edition of DokuFest will take place in venues across Prizren between 1 to 9 of August, 2025 and will present a diverse programme of non-fiction, experimental and narrative short film in eight competition sections and in the dozens of specially curated programs, as well as filmmaker Q&As, panels, talks and workshops.

DokuFest is the largest film festival in Kosovo. Hailed as one of the most important film festivals in Southeast Europe and voted twice as Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals by Filmmakers Magazine, it fills the cinemas and improvised screening venues around historic center of Prizren with a selection of more than 200 hand-picked films from around the world.
Founded in 2002, with the aim of revitalizing cinema and the cultural life in Prizren, DokuFest grew to become the largest cultural event in the country and one of the top documentary and short film festivals in Europe.
DokuFest is on the list of qualifying festivals for BAFTA Award for Best British Short Film as well as for European Film Academy by designating DokuFest’s candidate for the European Film Awards in short film category.
