DokuFest's space for sharing experiences, knowledge, and insights among film professionals, this year connects to the festival theme 'New Order' with some great discussions lined up. Co-curated by Eroll Bilibani and Dea Gjinovci, DokuTalks returns to the cozy garden of the Shani Efendi Gallery, adjoined to Cinema Lumbardhi with seven discussions varying from how communities are linked to their environment and the impacts of the climate crisis, to a discussion about archivists who uncover visual traces of our shared past.
We'll also discuss the tough times film festivals are facing since COVID and how they adapt to new challenges. For short filmmakers, we've got experts sharing tips on different ways of reaching the audiences online and in cinemas. There's a session on using archives to document wars, featuring insights from the Ukraine War Archive and experiences of Humanitarian Law Center Kosovo. We have dedicated a special session for documentary filmmakers who will talk about their process of building trust and forming deep connections with their characters.
And as a cherry on a top of a cake the DokuTalk 'A match made in heaven' brings successful director-editor duos, revealing the behind-the-scenes magic of their collaboration.
