Fatma and her mother are Kurdish refugees in Italy. On their visit to the doctor, she has to translate what the doctor tells to her mother but she keeps silent.

Farnoosh Samadi is an iranian filmmaker who is graduated from Fine Art Academy in Rome. She worked as co-writer in Ali Asgari's award winning short films. She is also co-writer of a feature film with Ali Asgari which was developed at Cinefondation Residence.The Silence her first short film co-directed by Ali Asgari had its world premiere in competition at Cannes Film Festival 2016. Gaze is her second short film which has its world premiere in competition of Locarno Film Festival 2017.

Ali Asgari was born in Tehran, Iran. He studied and graduated with a degree in cinema in Italy. He began his career as an assistant director. He is an alumnus of the Berlinale Talent Campus 2013. His short film “More Than Two Hours” was in competition at Cannes 2013 and Sundance Film festival 2014. His short film “The Baby” was premiered in competition of Venice Film Festival 2014.
