Një meditim filmik në riprojektimin masiv të njerëzimit të planetit, ANTHROPOCENE: The Human Epoch është një katër vjeçar në krijimin e dokumentarëve me metrazh të gjatë nga ekipi fitues i shumëfishtë i çmimeve i Jennifer Maichwal, Nicholas de Pencier dhe Edward Burtynsky. I treti në trilogjinë që përfshinë Manufactured Landscapes (2006) dhe Watermark (2013), filmi ndjek kërkimin e një trupi ndërkombëtar të shkencëtarëve, Grupi Punues Anthropocene i cili, pas rreth dhjetë vitesh hulumtim, po argumentojnë që Epoka Holocene i ka hapur rrugë Epokës Anthropocene në mesin e shekullit njëzet, për shkak të ndryshimeve të thella dhe të qëndrueshme njerëzore në Tokë.

DIRECTOR'S BIO

Jennifer Baichwal has been directing and producing documentaries for over 25 years. Her films The True Meaning of Pictures: Shelby Lee Adams' Appalachia, Manufactured Landscapes, and Payback all played at the Sundance Film Festival. Nicholas de Pencier is an award-winning director, producer, and director of photography working in film, performing arts, and installation. His films include Manufactured Landscapes, Watermark, Black Code, and Long Time Running. Photographer Edward Burtynsky is known for his large-scale images of industrial landscapes. His work is in the collections of over 60 museums around the world.
