DokuFest is proud to announce the opening of submissions for its much-anticipated 25th edition, a historic milestone for the festival and for cinema in the region. The jubilee edition will take place from 7 to 15 August 2026 across multiple venues in the vibrant city of Prizren.
Submissions are open for short and feature-length documentaries, as well as fiction, animation, and experimental short films. All entries must be submitted exclusively via the FilmFreeway online platform.

Since its founding in 2002, DokuFest has transformed Prizren’s historic center into a celebration of cinema, art, and community while screening over 200 carefully selected films from around the globe each year. Recognized twice by Filmmaker Magazine as one of the Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World, DokuFest continues to shape the cultural landscape of Southeast Europe.
As a BAFTA and European Film Awards qualifying festival, DokuFest remains a vital platform for discovering new voices, fostering creative dialogue, and redefining the cinematic experience.
