DokuFest was part of the project “Green Horizons – Youth and Community-Led Green Transition Initiative in Western Kosovo” documenting throughout the whole undergoings and developments of its activities, initiatives and dedication to the youth and local communities in promoting environment protection and green transition.

Through film documentation, DokuFest has followed from up close the stories, experiences and actions that have been woven in the project, putting its focus on youth, communities and in positively pushing the needed changes that need to happen to the environment and creating a more sustainable perspective on these challenges faced everyday. Through detailed and active documentation this documentary is solely focused on encouraging civic participation in issues related to the green transition.

As part of the project’s closing event, on 13 August 2026, a screening of the documentary film presenting the project’s journey, activities, and impact will be held at the “Bekim Fehmiu” Theatre in Prizren. The screening will take place in the Small Hall of the House of Culture, starting at 20:00.

Following the screening, there will be an open discussion with all participants, creating a space for reflection and the exchange of ideas on the challenges and opportunities related to the green transition in Western Kosovo. The discussion aims to foster a broader conversation about the role of young people, communities, organizations, and institutions in addressing environmental issues and developing sustainable solutions.

The project “Green Horizons – Youth and Community-Led Green Transition Initiative in Western Kosovo” is implemented by EC Ma Ndryshe, in partnership with CARE and other partner organizations, with the aim of empowering young people and local communities through activities that promote environmental protection, community cooperation, and sustainable development.

The project includes a range of educational, community, and cultural activities designed to give space and raise awareness of environmental issues. Through documenting this process, DokuFest has sought to ensure that the experiences and stories created throughout the project remain documented and serve as a tool for informing, reflecting, and engaging in dialogue with the public.

DokuFest invites citizens, young people, representatives of institutions and organizations, and everyone interested to join the film screening and the discussion that follows, to reflect together on the importance of environmental protection and the role each of us can play in building a greener and more sustainable future.
