DokuFest is opening the door to something new, and it starts with you. If you’re between 18 and 25, and you care about stories, about people, about trying to understand things a bit better — this might be for you.

Storytelling for Trust-Building and Reconciliation brings together young people from different communities across Kosovo to meet, talk, create, and figure things out together. Not in theory, but by actually using film equipment and making films.

You'll work in small groups, share your own experiences, listen to others, and turn all of that into short stories that feel real. The kind of stories that don't usually get told. The kind of story people don’t usually hear, but probably should.

You don’t need to come in with skills or experience. Most people don’t. You’ll learn as you go, with filmmakers and mentors who are there to guide you, not lecture you. It’s very hands-on, very real, you figure things out by actually doing them.

The Storytelling Camp takes place in early June, and it's intense in a good way — a mix of ideas, shooting, editing, and a lot of collaboration.

Then in August 2026, your work will be shown at the 25th edition of DokuFest on a big screen of one of its cinemas.
