The first part of “Stories We Tell” workshop was concluded in Prizren last Thursday, after the workshop in Prishtina. “Stories we tell” is a component of the Human Rights Film Factory project managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo and implemented by DokuFest.
The workshop was organized in cooperation with Kosovo 2.0 and led by Besa Luci and Cristina Mari. In two days, the participants learned about the basics of video storytelling – while developing a working plan for the production of their 1-minute video stories covering different social issues. By the end of the year the participants, aged 16-18, are expected to tell a story through video projects that are no longer than 1 minute. The films produced by the videographers will be compiled into a showcase on an interactive platform to be launched on DokuFest webpage.
HUMAN RIGHTS FACTORY: Ethnic community cooperation through storytelling is a project aimed at emerging filmmakers. A total of 6 documentaries and a number of 1-minute video-stories will be produced through DokuFest Film Production Centre, established in 2010. The produced documentaries will be screened in Kosovar and international film festivals as well as on national TV.
