DokuFest, as part of the project “Beyond Silence – Empowering Voices for Justice and Memory,” invites qualified professionals to express their interest in engagement as a Web Developer / Technical Expert to support the technical integration of educational audiovisual content into DokuFest’s Teachers Digital Library. This project directly aligns with the objectives of the public call by strengthening transitional justice education, supporting victim advocacy, and fostering regional dialogue on dealing with the past through a digital platform used by educators across Kosovo.

SCOPE FOR WORK

The selected candidate will be responsible for the technical integration of educational video content, short films, and testimonies into the Teachers Digital Library. This includes the development of a dedicated digital section within the platform to host all transitional justice–related materials produced during the project.

The assignment aims to ensure long-term sustainability by making the content permanently available for classroom use and aligned with the Kosovo curriculum. The scope of work also includes tagging, indexing, and user experience (UX) improvements to ensure that educators can easily search, navigate, and apply the content in lesson planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Technical integration of educational video content, short films, and testimonies into the existing digital platform

· Development and implementation of a dedicated digital section within the Teachers Digital Library

· Configuration of tagging and indexing systems to improve content discoverability

· UX adjustments to enhance usability for educators and facilitate lesson planning

· Coordination with DokuFest’s project and education teams to ensure alignment with pedagogical objectives

· Maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of the platform and related server infrastructure

· Availability and responsiveness, particularly during intensive project or festival periods

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES

· Minimum 5 years of professional experience in web development and web-based applications

· Knowledge of server management and optimization

· Experience with content management systems and multimedia platforms is considered an asset

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team

· Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
