And Me, I´m Dancing Too

Synopsis

Saba, an Iranian girl, is a dancer. She wants to be indifferent to her surroundings and project this self-being and freedom with her "body". She is in love with the art of dancing, the art of letting go and living away from conventional bonds but the art of being is forbidden in an ultimately religious state who ignores the very basic human rights. The film is an honest portrait of the daily oppression women have to deal with in Iran towards the path to freedom.

Director Biography

Mohammad Valizadegan (1986) is an Iranian actor, dancer and filmmaker. He is a master degree graduate in theater directing from the School of Art and Architecture. While studying , he continued his career as a dancer and an actor with professional theatre groups in 2003. Since then he has been active in the cinema industry as an actor including the 2020 Golden bear winner film There Is No Evil directed by Mohammad Rasoulof.
