My Stolen Revolution is about Nahid Persson’s journey to find out what happened to her brother in prison before he was executed. During her journey she meets witnesses who talk about the atrocities committed by the regime on its people in prison. Atrocities that continue still today.
The Swedish Iranian filmmaker Nahid Persson Sarvestani (1960, Iran) is one of Scandinavia’s most respected and well-known documentary filmmakers. She fled from her country during the revolution, while her work now mainly focuses on the current situation in Iran. She has won great international acclaim for her work and many awards for several of her films.
