The Child of Silent Winter

Synopsis

Katja is a young retiree and frustrated. She’s only 24, but nonetheless living in a circle of solitude, spending her days walking her dog and looking out of the window. Her loneliness stems from years of being a victim of bullying in school. She is anxious and afraid. Should her life really be like this? If only she could find a friend.

Director Biography

M.A. Iiris Härmä was born in 1970 in Finland. She studied ethnology and cultural studies at the University of Turku. She has also studied documentary film in The New School University and Film/ Video Art in New York. She has worked as producer and assistant director in several documentary films. Tomorrow’s Memories was her directing debut.
