Connecting Dots: Exploring Shared Film Heritage is a joint initiative of DokuFest and Beldocs. Supported by the “Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans” a project funded by the European Union, that aims to foster dialogue in the Western Balkans by enhancing the cultural and creative sectors for increased socio-economic impact. This collaboration is built upon a shared commitment to promoting the art of documentary filmmaking, fostering cultural exchange, and advancing the cinematic landscape in our respective regions.
The Exhibition is a result of a comprehensive research through residency programs on Yugoslav film archives, magazines, newspapers, literature, intangible film heritage and contemporary Kosovar cinema.

Kosovo: Bengi Muzbeg & Tevfik Rada
Online Platform: Researching Kosovo's specific experience within the Yugoslavian cinema heritage, Bengi Muzbeg and Tevfik Rada's work continue a deeper engagement with this history. The researchers conducted investigations in various archives in Belgrade as well as in Kosovo. As a result of this process, they collected many archival materials, including hardly screened film-works, forgotten film reviews and images related with Kosovo's film heritage. Currently, the researchers are organizing the material in order to build a comprehensive database which will result in an interactive online platform.

By Ivona Djurić presented as a fanzine celebrates the pioneering works of Kosovar female directors who have impacted the cinematic landscape over the past twelve years. By delving into their films, we explore themes of war, gender, and societal transformation. These directors challenge traditional narratives and illuminate the complex realities of women's experiences in Kosovo, offering a compelling perspective on the evolving role of women in both cinema and society.

Kino Memories - documentary: "Kino Memories," a documentary essay delves into the cultural and social history of Prizren through the lens of its forgotten cinemas, Kino Bistrica and Kino Radnik. This project captures the essence of the city's cinephile community by exploring archival footage and interviews. From their inception in the 1950s, these cinemas have been central in shaping Prizren's cultural landscape, reflecting the intricate relationship between the cinema screen and everyday life.
