Synopsis

Memory Room retraces the steps of an Irish forester sent to northern Finland in 1946 to find trees sufficient in size and number to be used as electricity poles in Ireland.
At this time in Princeton University, a team of mathematicians attempting to code the first computing machine, discovered that the most efficient search of an unmapped territory is to venture outwards on random paths.
Employing this logic the filmmakers attempted to use one epic landscape to locate and give meaning to the other.
