A group of young people in Kigali meet at the home of their deceased friend for a wake. Though he died at a young age, he led a singular life in a conformist society. They spend the evening in remembrance of him and his creative legacy, reflecting on their own life paths.
Philbert Aime Mbabazi Sharangabo`s first short film Ruhago/Destiny FM (2012) won the SIGNIS award for best emerging filmmaker in East Africa at Zanzibar International Film Festival in 2012. He later made three other short films that screened in international film festivals before he attended Haute École d’Art et de Design in Geneva where he graduated in 2017. His first school film "The Liberators“ (2016) premiered in competition at Vision du Réel Nyon 2016 and later received a Special Mention at Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur in the Swiss Film school category.
