The film focuses on a program first stated by UNMIK as the Freedom of Movement train. The film’s main characters are two train conductors: Hasan (Albanian) oldest train conductor in Kosova railways having worked for the railways since 1974. The other Milos, 21 years old (Serb) youngest train conductor. The Freedom of Movement Train seeks to break the barriers of ethnic tensions which have placed the region for decades, transporting passengers and cargo trough out the various villages it covers Albanian, Serb, Ashcali and Roma passengers. The crew is also conformed by workers of different ethnic groups. Train of Freedom presents the voices of the passengers and workers who travel the train focusing on the issue of Tolerance.



Regjisor/e

Karina Correa is a Director/Filmmaker working and living in New York. Karina graduated from the School of Visual Arts and has been working in the field ever since. Karina has produced and directed several short films and music videos which include “Asa Branca” a traditional tune performed by Forro in the Dark , featuring David Byrne and Billie Holiday’s “I hear Music” for Sony -BMG Train of Freedom is Karina’s first feature documentary.
