DokuFest is pleased to present the third in the series of special programme announcements for its 22nd edition, running from 4 to 12 of August in the city of Prizren, Kosova.

Continuing its exploration of everything and anything related to cinema and films, DokuFest is pleased to unveil the titles of 11 exceptional feature length and short documentaries, all of them dealing in one way or another with the most important art of them all, the cinema itself!

From the portraits of the luminaries of cinema, such as that of Alfred Hitchcock, Werner Herzog and Jonas Mekas to the supercuts of inimitable Udo Kier dying in countless films and to the numerous cameo appearances of Jill Goldstein in equally numerous films, to explorations of underground film scene of Tanzania and to beloved New York’s Kim’s Video store, all the way to the beginning of 20th century and to the archives of Eye Film Museum in Amsterdam and the documentary materials found there, to mysterious women in Iranian cinema and to a loving tribute to Lisbon and to Portuguese master Paolo Rocha, the selection brings a wonderful and joyous look to what cinema was and is. And not to forget, there is a film there with the most memorable disclaimers one can find in all of cinema.

So, we say long live cinema!
