In 1998, two schoolgirls sent a letter to Iran's first-ever women’s newspaper. While they waited to be published, they considered making an impossible film. Using citations and image intervention, Razeh-del journeys through parallel histories of war on images of women.
Directors' Biography
Maryam Tafakory is an Iranian artist working in film and performance. Her work has screened at MoMA, Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, and Locarno. She has received awards from MIFF, Chicago Int’l Film Festival, and the Tiger Short Award at the 51st International Film Festival Rotterdam.
