The Game

Synopsis

A whistle. It gets loud in the spectator stands. The players protest angrily. The commentators follow the action on the field. In the middle of it, the referee. The whole stadium watches him. Now he has to decide. With the referee Fedayi San we experience the highs and lows of a football game, what it means to earn respect on the field and to direct the energy of an entire stadium.

Directors' Biography

Roman Hodel, born in 1989 in Luzern, Switzerland. 2010-14 Attends HSLU (Hochschule Luzern, Design & Kunst), Video Department. 2014 BA from HSLU. His short film BLUELIGHT (2014, co-directed with Lena Mäder) premiered at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur. THE GAME just recently celebrated its world premiere at the 77. La Biennale di Venezia and contiuned the festival circuti with screenings at TIFF and Best of Fest, IDFA.
