René “Bolzmann” Kleinschmidt is a worn down former local football idol who spends most of his time in an equally worn down but slowly gentrified local Berlin pub. He decides to gain new respect by attending a foosball tournament. A difficult fight begins, not only against his alcoholism and idleness, but more and more upcoming visions and his idea of masculinity. At the end only an angel can save him...

Janis Westphal started his film career working for a TV production company for three years, where developed non-fictional formats for international clients like ZDF, WDR and Discovery Channel. From 2014-18 studied both documentary and fictional directing at the self organized film school filmArche in Berlin. In 2016 I founded the Sevenpeaks filmmakers collective. Directed and produced music videos, adds, shorts and a feature length documentary film.
