Ara had always believed she would disappear when she turned twenty-eight. As her birthday approaches, she seeks the most elemental sensations of existence in water, in the sun and in the sublime. The trance state is a full, almost extraterrestrial place, impregnated with invisible forces. When Ara realizes the reason for her belief, she is driven into catharsis and will have to figure out if she has disappeared or if she continues to exist.
