Jean-Bernard Marlin was born on November 18th, 1979. He grew up in Marseille, then moved to Paris where he started studying film. After he graduated from the Ecole Louis Lumière and the FEMIS Screenplay Workshop, Jean-Bernard directed his first short film, Thick-skinned (2007, Why Not Productions), which was selected for a large number of international festivals. He is currently completing a documentary film and writing his first feature.
