In this edition DokuFest continues its initiative supporting Kosovo's promising young filmmakers. This year, together with its partners and collaborators, DokuFest will award various prizes allocated for new projects. Two projects submitted by new wave directors will be supported in the production phase. They will also be supported throughout the process by mentors to develop the ideas of their selected projects–an initiative which is realized in cooperation with SIDA.
This year, for the first time, DokuFest in cooperation with the Cinematographic Center of Kosovo will share the Talent Doc Prize, which will award the best documentary film in the national competition with the support for the filmmaker’s next project. Moreover, the world-renowned school Le Fresnoy from France will share a prize for post-production dedicated to one of the promising directors from the national competition. Also, in cooperation with our partner, the Ikone Studio production, the best film of the national competition, in addition to the monetary reward, will also receive loan of equipment for the next project of the winning director.
