The University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti” in partnership with DokuFest and Innovation and Training Park (ITP) Prizren will organize the first edition of Prizren International Summer University, which will be held from 1-12 August 2022.

ISS will be offering six ECTS credited courses covering a wide range of study fields. All courses will be held only in English. After the successful fulfillment of the course, the participants will get certificates according to the European System for Transferring the Credits (ECTS). In addition, a rich array of extra-curricular program will be offered to the students and personnel, including accreditation to the DokuFest international film festival, and different excursions around Prizren as one of the most unique and ancient cities in the Balkans (South-east Europe). Detailed information for the events and the agenda will be published widely at the University website before and during the Summer Courses.

The first Edition of the ISSP 2022 is open to all students and will help all participants to gain from new methods of lecturing and research as well as enjoying the international atmosphere. For a period of two weeks modules will be taught by eminent international professors from the top European universities and will provide the opportunity for local and international students to learn and share their experiences.

Linda Llulla, Executive Director of DOKUFEST, emphasized that ‘Dokufest will contribute by sharing its long experience in organizing the international festival’. She also announced that ‘Students and professors who come to Prizren to attend summer school, will have the opportunity to be provided with free accreditation at Dokufest, to watch all the films and other activities that are organized during the festival.’

Rector of the University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Samedin Krrabaj praised the achievement of this cooperation for the organization of the international summer school, while thanking the partners for their support. ‘It is worth mentioning that this is the first time since the establishment that the University organizes such a very important event. Seeing the commitment of the partners, we believe that it will be realized successfully’.

Muhamed Rexhepi, representative of ITP-Prizren, said that ‘ITP-Prizren will provide infrastructural spaces for local and international students in accommodation and organization of a module and other extracurricular activities. He added that this organization responds to the concept of the Innovation and Training Park which envisages to include science, research and development where the target group among others are students and young people.’
