Hazira, a survivor of Srebrenica, has lived in Ježevac refugee camp near Tuzla for nearly 30 years, unable to return to her village now in Republika Srpska. Her life is shaped by survival routines—gathering wood, obsessive cleaning, and enduring harsh conditions. With dark humor and quiet strength, she faces the lasting trauma of war.
Director
The filmmaker grew up in former Yugoslavia and Germany, with roots tied to both Yugoslav partisans and a Nazi judge. He studied cinematography and directing in Berlin, Havana, and Sarajevo, and his work explores memory and resistance. He lives between Trieste, Ljubljana, and Berlin.
