In summer 1989, thousands gathered in North Korea for a student festival promoting peace, friendship, and anti-imperialism. Amid Cold War tensions, it became a rare space where youth from around the world exchanged cultures and debated global issues nuclear disarmament, rights, and justice just as a historic era neared its end.
Andra MacMasters (former Popescu) is a Romanian audiovisual producer and archive researcher. In 2013 she founded Conset Film and since then worked with filmmakers from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Serbia, India.
