„Ballet - a documentary film“ observes lessons in a ballet school. Moving between the enjoyment, the discipline and endurance of each dancer, the film shows the different age groups and their current learning process. Behind the graceful perfections on stage, a long and hard journey awaits

Director Biography

Maximilian Martin was born in 1996 and raised near Dortmund. Since his early childhood he has developed a love for music and creative arts in all genres. After school, he enrolled in directing as well as film & tv production at the WAM Media Academy in Dortmund where he was able to gain first impressions and experiences in filmmaking. Since 2019, he is studying directing at Film University Babelsberg in Potsdam.
