Hamy Ramezan, born in 1979, is a Finnish-Iranian film director and scriptwriter. He has studied film in England, graduating in 2007. His short film Over the Fence (Viikko ennen vappua, 2009) was a worldwide festival hit having screened at more than 40 international festivals and garnered eight prizes, including Best Live Action Short at Toronto Worldwide Short Film Festival, Best Fiction at Curtocircuito Santiago de Compostela and Special Mention at Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival.
