We meet just as newly in love as recently divorced Mia (37), heading for the first holiday with her new love. Mia is torn between parental responsibility and a longing to surrender and let go of control. When her station wagon rolls onto the ferry's parking deck, Mia realizes that she has created an impossible situation for herself and everyone else. Deck 5B is a film about longing, passion, broken promises and dog hair.
Born and raised on a farm on the Swedish countryside, Malin might be one of the few directors who knows how to operate a tractor as well as a camera. Malin started out as a still photographer before transitioning into directing music videos, art films and short films.
