Željko and Viki sacrifice all they have to ensure a gentle end of life for discarded horses on their small plot of land. END OF THE ROAD examines mortality and the need for compassion, empathy and dignity to be extended to all living beings for the entirety of their lives' journey.
Filmmaker Ivana Todorović (Belgrade , Serbia) is a director of short, socially-engaging films. Her fiction film “When I’m at Home” (2020, Belgrade) has played festivals worldwide, and won multiple awards. The film also screened at “The Principle of Migration” exhibition at The New York Foundation for the Arts Gallery in New York City. Her documentaries “When I Was a Boy, I Was a Girl”, “A Harlem Mother”, “Rapresent”, and “Everyday Life of Roma Children in Block 71” screened at more than 150 festivals worldwide, and collectively have won over 20 awards.
