Education in our fast-changing world is essential, especially when climate change is threatening the future of the humanity. School of Hope follows the nomadic Oulad Boukais Tribe, whose children walk miles to a tiny schoolhouse, built by their parents, in the hope that education can prepare the next generation for new ways of life when nomadic lifestyle is becoming impossible.
Director
Director Mohamed El Aboudi was born and brought up in Morocco. He graduated from the University of Fes, Morocco with a BA in Theatre, 1991 and with a MA in Film & Television at Bond University, Australia in 1997. Film Director from CINETEL, Paris, France, 1991-1992. In his work Mohamed has been interested in strong human stories. He has made documentaries about asylum seekers, mothers of immigrants, artists, and a girl with Down syndrome. His latest films explore the theme of becoming an outsider in your own society. Mohamed’s documentaries have been shown in various film festivals all over the world.
