Synopsis

Roque was disoriented. They told him that he was a human and that he could become a siren. He didn't understand why it was one thing that had to become another. Also forever! One thing or the other. Black or white. Meat or fish. Boy or girl. Human or siren...

Director Biography

Alba Barbé i Serra is doctor in Social and Cultural Anthropology. She works in Actuavallès, the NGO that has produced the Short Film. As an anthropologist and social educator she specializes in the study of gender violences, homophobia and transphobia, as well as the shaping of public policies and the execution of educational interventions to eradicate them. She is member of the Research Group on Social Control and Exclusion (GRECS, University of Barcelona) and the Catalan Anthropology Institute (ICA). Siren's tail is her first Animated Short Film.
