'Hungary 2018' is a political observational documentary about the main stream right-wing extremism and rising populism in Hungary at the government level. An independent documentary with no Hungarian state funding by the creators of the multi-award winner documentary Judgment in Hungary directed by Eszter Hajdu.

Director Biography

Eszter Hajdu is a film director and sociologist, born in Hungary. Her film „The Fidesz Jew...” was the most provocative and most viewed documentary film in 2008-2009 in Hungary. Her films are mainly about social-political taboos. Her film, Judgment in Hungary (2014), about the neo-nazi trial of serial killing against Roma people in Hungary, won 19 international awards, and it was screened in 40 countries. Eszter Hajdu's crew was the only crew documenting every day of this 167-days historical and extraordinary trial.
