2 Birds – Smáfuglar

Synopsis

2 Birds takes place during one bright summer night and follows a group of young teenagers on a journey from innocence to adulthood. The main character is a timid boy who has a typical schoolboy crush on a girl his age, who happens to be a friend of his mate. 2 Birds is the second film of Runarsson’s Crossroad trilogy. The first one is the award winning and Oscar nominated short film The Last Farm.

Directors' Biography

Rúnar Eyjólfur Rúnarsson Born 20.01 1977 In Reykjavík Iceland 1994. Rúnar is one of two founders of Óhá_akvikmyndager in that was active in the nineties. A registered none profitable organization in Iceland with the purpose of cooperation between members in film events and independent filmmaking. Today the organization has been the centre of dozens shorts and documentaries, and organized couple of mini festivals. 1996. Director of Reykjavík Short Film festival. 2005. Started at the Directors Line at The National Film School of Denmark. Will graduate in the summer of 2009 2006. Oscar Nominated for his short film The Last Farm
