In light of the current COVID-19 situation that is unfolding across the world, DokuFest announces a daily film screening of a short film produced through our Documentary Film Production Centre, until the current situation ends.

Film Screening Day 2

Whose Flag Is It? by Baris Karamuço

I kujt është flamuri? (Whose flag is it?) from DokuFest on Vimeo.

Director Karamuco ponders the notion of national identity as freezing Kosovars, taped during the recent cold snap, give wildly differing opinions about their country’s controversial blue, white and gold national symbol. Funny and telling, the film brilliantly threads an extraordinary sequence of a teacher explaining the flag to her wide-eyed kindergarten students.

Year of Production: 2012
Length: 14 min.

Produced through “Human Rights Film Factory - Stories From the Kosovo Margins” a project aimed at emerging filmmakers from Kosovo, Albania, FYR of Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro. The program was funded by EU and managed by European Union Office in Kosovo and implemented by DokuFest.
