Inside a medical training facility, one of the “Da-Vinci” surgical robots gains autonomy and self-awareness. It starts wandering around the building and discovers a hybrid space where clinical progress blurs with echoes of warfare. Created by the U.S. Army in the 1980s, Da-vinci’s initial purpose was to operate on wounded soldiers in remote battlefields. The film reflects upon the boundary between healing and killing: being a tool of care as well as a posthuman weapon of precision.
Directors' Biography
Artist and filmmaker based in France. Her work includes films, installations, and performances. She graduated from Le Fresnoy (2025), and she was in HISK residency (2023) Her work have been presented at IDFA in, DocLisboa DocLisboa, and the Prussia Foundation and more.
