One night in downtown Los Angeles, a man hears the call of a cuckoo from his childhood. Seeking the source of the elusive sound, he slips into a dream where the songs of vanished birds uncover what has long been lost and buried in the land and himself.
Directors' Biography
Iris Sang (Sang Ni 桑霓) is a Beijing-based filmmaker and curator. Inspired by Buddhist metaphysics, she creates hybrid films exploring the sensory body. Her work has screened internationally, and she is also curator of BISFF’s Nova Competition.
