In the early 20th century, Dutch colonialists transformed Sumatra’s rainforests into vast rubber plantations, where workers lived under conditions resembling slavery. The sexual exploitation of women became part of the system, creating a racial paradox and a silence passed down through generations. Through archival and contemporary footage, the film explores layers of memory, recognition, and resistance surrounding this hidden history.
