Atlanta plans to build Cop City,the largest police training center in the United States,threatening a vital urban forest. Forest defenders occupy the land, disrupting construction for over a year. After police raid the forest and kill an activist, Tortuguita, a resistance movement erupts throughout the city. A City in the Forest captures a reckoning over environmental justice, police militarization, and democracy.
