As the Tide Comes In

<p>Juan Palacios (b. 1986, Basque Country, Spain) is a filmmaker based in Amsterdam. Educated in Environmental Studies and Audiovisual Communication, With a particular predilection for the boundaries between human culture and the non-human, mysticism and materialism, he mostly employs imagery from a natural world to create an alternative universe. His first feature documentary film, PEDALÓ, was awarded at San Sebastian International Film Festival, 2016.</p> <p></p> <p>Sofie Husum Johannesen<b>&nbsp;</b>has a background&nbsp;in&nbsp;Visual Anthropology from Aarhus University and has worked&nbsp;as&nbsp;a core part of Elk Film’s production and producer team since 2017. She has worked alongside world-renowned filmmakers on titles such&nbsp;as&nbsp;<i>The&nbsp;Lost Leonardo</i>&nbsp;(2022),&nbsp;<i>See Me&nbsp;as&nbsp;I Am</i>&nbsp;(2022),&nbsp;<i>Aswang</i>&nbsp;(2019),&nbsp;<i>The&nbsp;Great Game</i>&nbsp;(2018), among others.&nbsp;A<i>s&nbsp;the&nbsp;Tide&nbsp;Comes&nbsp;In&nbsp;</i>is Sofie’s debut&nbsp;in&nbsp;directing.</p>
