In the decade of the 70s, a journalist self-proclaimed as “The Mole” infiltrated into one of the most repressive governments of Guatemala. Through the quest of a hidden and unusual character, the film explores how the revelations of the truth can force cracks into the walls of silence in a country forced to forget.
Filmmaker and producer, master degree in Political Science. She has directed short films that have been screened at international festivals and universities. In Guatemala she works with social and human rights organizations. In 2019 she participated in the Berlinale Talents and in the IDFA Academy School as an emerging director. "The silence of the Mole” is Anais’ first feature film.
