Mother Marte

Synopsis

In a village in Albania lives a 90 year old mother. She prays every day for the children and grandchildren living abroad for their happiness. In her old chest she has prepared the dress embroidered with her hands for the day of her death.

Director Biography

Dorina Toçi is a 2nd year student at the Academy of Film & Multimedia Marubi in Tirana, Albania. The documentary Mother Marte is her first film made as a first year film student. Before film school, she graduated from the University of Arts for classical music Canto and has a Master degree in operational management and marketing. Since 2012, she continues to work in the profession as marketing and sales manager. Her passion is Film and documentaries.
