Dur Gur Mur by Genc Jakupi is the story of a young boy’s journey at a train station in Prishtina.
Genc Jakupi (*1983, Prishtina) lives and works between New York, Paris and Prishtina. His practice revolves around performance and is often based on language and writings. As an expressive way of communication Genc’s pieces combine multimedia installations and performances. Genc found his passion for acting and performing on Herbert Bergof acting studio in New York, where he participated in many plays and short films. He continued his education on physical theater and body movement at the International School of theater ‘Jacques Lecoq’ in Paris. Latest projects include different mediums which surface from the personal realm to a collective experience.
