Bashkimi United

Synopsis

In his barbershop, Bashkim tinkers with hair and hearts. He shares his philosophy of life with his customers, whom he treats like guests and reveals his next project: shooting a film. As director and protagonist he is transfigured from being a marginal figure to having the key role in an aesthetic exploration of the big concepts in life.

Director Biography

Lasse Linder was born in 1994 in St. Gallen, Switzerland. While studying German Literature and Cinema Studies at the University of Zurich he realised he’d rather make films himself. Therefore, he went on to work as an editor and directed several short films in Switzerland and abroad. Since 2016 he has studied Video at Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU). BASHKIMI UNITED received a Special Mention at the Swiss Film School Day at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur.
