Directors' Biography
<p>Carmine Grimadi is currently a fellow at Harvard’s Film Study Center, where he has worked as a teaching fellow for the Sensory Ethnography Lab. He is also a doctoral candidate in history at the University of Chicago. He has made three short films that have screened internationally, and his work has been featured in Filmmaker Magazine.</p>
<p>Deniz Tortum is an artist working in film, video & new media and a graduate student at MIT Comparative Media Studies. His first feature film, Zayiat has been screened internationally, including SxSW and !F Istanbul Film Festivals. At MIT, Deniz is also a research assistant at Open Documentary Lab; his research currently focuses on virtual reality, post-photographic aesthetics and documentary games.</p>
