Synopsis

‘History is always made in the middle of the night. And when it happens, you are so damned tired, that you couldn’t care less,’ says Robert Cooper, an EU peace negotiator whose job it is to get Serbia and Kosovo to reach an agreement to build peaceful relations. National pride and compromise are on everyone’s lips. How far is each party willing to go?

Directors' Biography

Karen Stokkendal Poulsen works with political processes as a key interest and has experience with international relations through a master in political science as well as tasks for the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She holds an MA from Goldsmiths College, London University, MA Screen Documentary. Her first film was a portrait of Danish leftwing top politician Villy Søvndal. THE AGREEMENT is Karen´s first film for an international audience.
