In the Year of Hip Hop

Synopsis

“The Year of Hip Hop” is a music documentary which presents rap music in Slovenia, from its beginnings until today. Through its history we reveal the predecessors and first rap attempts in Slovenia, the regional presentations illustrate how rap music has developed in interaction with its environment and the musical part presents the most important rap artists in Slovenia.

Director Biography

Born on the 22nd of April 1971 in Zenica (Bosnia), graduated in Koper from the Faculty for Navy Navigation. In 2005 he graduated from EICAR film school in Paris. In 2008 he came back to Ljubljana where he works as a freelance film director.
