Synopsis

If Nobody's Playing closely follows the troubled beginnings of the Macedonian underground band Bernays Propaganda and the everyday challenges the band leader Vasko Atanasoski faces in order to do what he lives for. Along the road there are all kinds of obstacles and sometimes silly and absurd incidents. Vasko is facing this harsh reality with courage, humor and sheer determination. Music is his lifelong mission. Music has changed his life, and now it’s payback time. Everything under the spiritual guidance from Joy Division, The Clash, Gang of Four, Fugazi and Minor Threat.

Director Biography

Born 1972 in Skopje, Macedonia. Film studies at Bologna University in Italy. He began his involvement with cinema by writing film critics and essays for newspapers and magazines. Freelance film worker and senior editor at Radio Kanal 103 where he produces weekly programs about film and popular culture and a live session radio show.
