Prizren, 16 July 2020 — DOKUFEST GOES ONLINE!
Following the uncertainties reigning over the global crisis caused by COVID - 19 pandemic and the latest announcements of the Kosovo government regarding the health and safety situation, DokuFest has decided to move its 19th edition of the festival into a digital sphere. This year, the festival will roll out online from 7—25 August with specially curated film programs, panels, masterclasses, collaborative workshops and online music performances.
To bring the festival online, we have partnered with Festival Scope and Shift72 to ensure the best streaming experience and to also make sure that our program is accessible for the local and regional audiences.
Drawing inspiration from British post-punk band, Joy Division and one of its iconic songs, this year’s theme of TRANSMISSION will highlight in many forms the TRANSITION we’re experiencing as a society and as we come to understand that the world and everything in it as we know is TRANSFORMING rapidly.
Thus, we invite you to be part of an experiment where the content of the festival will be transmitted digitally and will reach far beyond than usual cinemas and venues of the city of Prizren. By doing so we hope to transform personally and collectively through new ways of thinking, working and sharing.
